Certificate in Supervision (TCSUL6)
CPCAB Accredited and on the National Regulated Qualification Framework
Held over 7 weekends between October 2026 and June 2027
This course is for counsellors who are experienced and either accredited by a professional body or eligible for
accreditation. If you are interested in incorporating supervision into your practice this course will give you
all you need to develop a sound and ethical supervision practice.
This training is designed primarily for psychotherapeutic practitioners such as counsellors,
psychotherapists and psychologists.
The course will explore the ethics of supervision and enable you to negotiate a way of
working with counsellors who are at different stages in their development.
There are a number of models of supervision and although ICT works
predominantly with the 7 eyed model (Shohet and Hawkins) you will be introduced to
other models such as the Cyclical model and the CLEAR model.
However choosing one that fits your practice, is important to enable
you to develop this model into a coherent framework for practice.
Lorna Marchant, the course leader has worked extensively facilitating groups and so her experience
will facilitate your group supervision practice.
You will be required to gain 15 hours of supervision practice, which
can be either one to one or group and our teaching supports
your development as both an individual supervisor and a
group supervisor. We recommend a mixture of both
individual and group supervision if possible.
You will be required to have a minimum of 5
hours of consultative supervision during the course.
The course meets online on the following dates:
10th & 11th October 2026
14th & 15th November 2026
9th & 10th January 2027
13th & 14th March
