We hosted our first workshop of this academic year yesterday; 'Working with body process' run by Allison Priestman.Allison is an experienced Body Psychotherapist and trainer in Body Psychotherapy from Stroud in Gloucs.
Participants came from as far as Birmingham and Kent and some who were closer to home but with different levels of experience which helped to make the group in Allison's words 'a lovely group'.
Our aim is to provide good quality CPD events thoughout the year at a reasonable cost In Bedford, so ensuring that local counsellors can access these events without having to head into London and because of the excellent travel links Bedford has with the rest of the UK enabling counsellors to reach us easily.
We always try to host these days in a venue that is warm comfortable and with ample parking.
Our next event is with Colin Lago on Friday 7th June,Transcultural Counselling which is an experiential day. This is followed by a day with Maria Smith on Friday 13th September 'Understanding and working with sexual abuse'. Saturday 30th November sees Professor Julia Buckroyd running a day entitled 'Working with clients with disordered eating' with an emphasis throughout the day on experiential work.
Why not let us know what workshops/events you would like to see running and ICT will do all we can to source a good facilitator and run it - though likely to be 2014 now!
Look forward to hearing from you
