Course Fee Regulations

Once a place has been accepted on a course (either in writing, via email or by telephone) students then enter into a financial contract with Lorna Marchant and ICT. Students are liable to pay a deposit when the place is accepted.

If employers have undertaken to pay the fees, we can only invoice sponsors (i.e. employers and other who will pay the student’s course fee) once their full details have been received. This information must be provided as soon as possible after an offer is accepted. Sponsors will be invoiced for the full course fee.

All students will be invoiced on an annual basis for course fees. Unless otherwise stated, all course fees are per annum.

Withdrawals and refund policy: I
n the event of a student withdrawing from an accepted place within the four weeks prior to the course start date, ICT will charge an administration fee of 10% of the full course fee. If a student withdraws after commencement of the course, the full fees for the year are payable.

Courses of more than one term duration:
Payment of fees must be arranged before attendance on the course in one of the following ways:
1) To be paid in full 28 days before the commencement of the course
2)  By standing Order Form authorising equal monthly payments to ICT to the full value of the course fees on dates agreed with ICT. The first payment must be made before the commencement of the course. If payment is not made on the due date as agreed with Lorna Marchant and ICT the full amount outstanding becomes due. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure payment is made each month on the due date.
3) A sponsorship agreement by providing full details of the sponsor to Lorna Marchant at ICT as soon as possible after acceptance of the course offered.

Short courses and CPD events:
Courses up to and including one term duration are classed as part of the CPD programme (excluding the Level 2 course and the Introduction to counselling adolescents course) and must be paid in full before the course begins

Non-payment of fees
If payment is not received ICT reserves the right to suspend you from the course. Legal proceedings may be instituted. An award will not be made if there are outstanding fees and ICT will withhold assessment results and certificates until debts are cleared.

Cancellation of courses
If ICT cancel a course all fees paid will be refunded.
